You Don't Have To Be Enslaved

Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.

The type of enslavement spoken here is not a physical enslavement but a spiritual one. The Bible addresses the issues of us being set free within our mind and spirit. No longer being bound to the distractions, labels, addictions that we have been for so long. No more generational curses to dictate our future or that of our family/ loved ones. For so long, many of us have been trying to break free of the things that have been holding us back. We want to move forward but don’t know how. We try to imagine a life free of all the struggles, all cravings of the thing or things we once turned to to cope with life, yet we find ourselves living the same life repeatedly.

You may be thinking to yourself, what am I missing? I have tried to break free, to quit those things that I know are not pleasing to God. Some of us have changed our environment, maybe our group of friends, maybe physically we have done a purge in our homes of the things that God has pointed out to us that we need to let go of. So why are we still drawn to those things, situation or people? Why do we still fall every time we are triggered in an area? Why does the hold on us feel so strong? Beloved, understand that the object of our weakness is just a tool the enemy uses, but the real hold is on our mind and spirit. The thoughts of “you can’t change”, “you will never be strong enough”, “it is too late” or “God won’t forgive you” are all lies that the enemy uses to keep us locked into our old lives. He brings guilt and shame, making us feel unworthy of being redeemed, loved and forgiven. That a new life and path is not in the cards for us.

Brothers and Sisters, I am here to tell you today that those are lies and tactics of the enemy so that you will stay enslaved to sin, addictions, bad habits and your old life. He wants you to live a life outside of the one God called you to live. Christ died so that we can be set FREE! He died so we can live in a sound mind, one that does not force us to make a decision we do not want to make, but to choose for ourselves. He died so that we can live an abundant life in our heavenly Father. If you want to be set free today from whatever is keeping shackled, then begin by surrendering your mind to the Word of God. Begin meditating on the Word, even if it is just one verse that you repeat over and over again every day. Decide in your mind that you trust and believe God over everything, that includes your own thoughts, feelings and circumstance. Decide to in your spirit that God is greater. I promise you as you begin to meditate on the Word, believe the Word and obey the Word, the chains will come off. You will have the power, desire and strength to break free and live in the fullness of God. Don’t give up. You are loved.

No Tienes Que Ser Esclavizado

Ahora son libres de la esclavitud del pecado y se han hecho esclavos de la vida recta.

El tipo de esclavitud del que se habla aquí no es física, sino espiritual. La Biblia aborda la cuestión de nuestra liberación mental y espiritual, de dejar de estar atados a las distracciones, las etiquetas y las adicciones que nos han dominado durante tanto tiempo. Ya no más maldiciones generacionales que dicten nuestro futuro ni el de nuestra familia o seres queridos. Durante mucho tiempo, muchos de nosotros hemos intentado liberarnos de aquello que nos ha estado frenando. Queremos avanzar, pero no sabemos cómo. Intentamos imaginar una vida libre de todas las luchas, de todos los anhelos de aquello a lo que recurríamos para sobrellevar la vida, pero nos encontramos viviendo la misma vida una y otra vez.

Quizás te estés preguntando: ¿qué me falta? He intentado liberarme, dejar atrás esas cosas que sé que no agradan a Dios. Algunos hemos cambiado de entorno, quizás de grupo de amigos, incluso hemos hecho una limpieza física en nuestros hogares, deshaciéndonos de las cosas que Dios nos ha mostrado que debemos dejar ir. Entonces, ¿por qué seguimos sintiéndonos atraídos por esas cosas, situaciones o personas? ¿Por qué caemos una y otra vez cuando nos vemos tentados? ¿Por qué sentimos que esa atadura es tan fuerte? Amado, comprende que aquello que nos debilita es solo una herramienta que usa el enemigo, pero la verdadera atadura está en nuestra mente y espíritu. Los pensamientos de "no puedes cambiar", "nunca serás lo suficientemente fuerte", "es demasiado tarde" o "Dios no te perdonará" son todas mentiras que el enemigo usa para mantenernos atrapados en nuestra antigua vida. Él nos infunde culpa y vergüenza, haciéndonos sentir indignos de ser redimidos, amados y perdonados. Nos hace creer que una nueva vida y un nuevo camino no son posibles para nosotros.

Hermanos y Hermanas, hoy estoy aquí para decirles que esas son mentiras y tácticas del enemigo para que permanezcan esclavizados al pecado, las adicciones, los malos hábitos y su antigua vida. Él quiere que vivan una vida diferente a la que Dios los llamó a vivir. ¡Cristo murió para que seamos LIBRES! Murió para que podamos vivir con una mente sana, una que no nos obligue a tomar decisiones que no queremos, sino que nos permita elegir por nosotros mismos. Murió para que podamos vivir una vida abundante en nuestro Padre celestial. Si hoy desean ser liberados de lo que los mantiene encadenados, comiencen entregando su mente a la Palabra de Dios. Comiencen a meditar en la Palabra, aunque sea solo un versículo que repitan una y otra vez cada día. Decidan en su mente que confían y creen en Dios por encima de todo, incluyendo sus propios pensamientos, sentimientos y circunstancias. Decidan en su espíritu que Dios es más grande. Les prometo que, a medida que comiencen a meditar en la Palabra, a creer en la Palabra y a obedecer la Palabra, las cadenas se romperán. Tendrán el poder, el deseo y la fuerza para liberarse y vivir en la plenitud de Dios. No se rindan. Eres amado.
