Many of us have the mindset that we go to church, that an altar is where the Pastor or Priest preaches from. We consider fellowship showing up but not really exchanging any words with the ones beside us. Though God in all His wisdom asks of us to come together as a body, being the church starts way before we enter the doors to what we know as church. Alone we are not the body of Christ but together we are, individually we are the church, God's Bride. When we attend church, the way we enter, how we worship, how we love on those around us should just be a reflection of what is happening in our own Temples as individuals and in our homes.
You see our first ministry is our immediate family, the first church we attend is our home, and the first altar we come before is the dinner table. That is where we gather and fellowship, where we break bread with our loved ones.
The Word of God says we are the Temple of the Lord (2 Cor. 6:16). The Word also says that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit come to make their home within us (John 14:23). That same Word says we can come boldly before the Throne of Grace that is not subject to a building (Heb. 4:16). As individuals we are the Temple of the Lord, His home, where He abides with us and communicates with us. It all starts within us. Spending alone time with the Lord, reading our Bibles, and obeying all that He has spoken to us, we become the church, our lives begin to preach the Word of God without even using a single word. Our house then becomes a place of worship, a place we share Jesus with those in our home, be it our mom and dad, our children, maybe our grandparents live with us as well.
As we make our homes the first sanctuary and our dinner table the first altar where we offer up ourselves and the meal before us. The dinner table is also the place where we teach the children and those who we invite to break bread with us about Jesus! Not just providing physical food but spiritual food. The Gospel in the most simplest way is being spread to those lives that surround our table. Ministry is not a title or something we own but a privilege we have been given to minister the word of God into the lives of those we love. So you see we do not go to church and bring an offering to the altar and have a ministry, we are the church, we give offerings to God every day and minister to all those we come into contact with throughout the week. So when we come to the house of God it is not "I went to church today" but that the body of Christ has come together to offer our praises as one. In uniting with the body of Christ we are in obedience to the Lord God who is the head of our household at home.
Brothers and sisters make your house a place of worship that the Lord will be welcomed, that He is invited to break bread with you and who is offered to the lives of all those who surround you. You are loved.

La Primera
Muchos de nosotros tenemos la mentalidad de que vamos a la iglesia, que un altar es de donde predica el pastor o el sacerdote. Consideramos el compañerismo que aparece pero que en realidad no intercambiamos ninguna palabra con los que están a nuestro lado. Aunque Dios en toda Su sabiduría nos pide que nos unamos como un cuerpo, ser la iglesia comienza mucho antes de que entremos por las puertas de lo que conocemos como iglesia. Solos no somos el cuerpo de Cristo pero juntos lo somos, individualmente somos la iglesia, la Esposa de Dios. Cuando asistimos a la iglesia, la forma en que entramos, cómo adoramos, cómo amamos a quienes nos rodean debe ser solo un reflejo de lo que está sucediendo en nuestros propios templos como individuos y en nuestros hogares.
Verá, nuestro primer ministerio es nuestra familia inmediata, la primera iglesia a la que asistimos es nuestro hogar, y el primer altar ante el que nos encontramos es la mesa del comedor. Ahí es donde nos reunimos y compartimos, donde partimos el pan con nuestros seres queridos.
La Palabra de Dios dice que somos el Templo del Señor (2 Cor. 6:16). La Palabra también dice que Dios, Jesús y el Espíritu Santo vienen a hacer su morada dentro de nosotros (Juan 14:23). Esa misma Palabra dice que podemos acercarnos confiadamente ante el Trono de la Gracia que no está sujeto a un edificio (Heb. 4:16). Como individuos somos el Templo del Señor, Su hogar, donde Él mora con nosotros y se comunica con nosotros. Todo comienza dentro de nosotros. Al pasar tiempo a solas con el Señor, leyendo nuestras Biblias y obedeciendo todo lo que Él nos ha dicho, nos convertimos en la iglesia, nuestras vidas comienzan a predicar la Palabra de Dios sin siquiera usar una sola palabra. Entonces nuestra casa se convierte en un lugar de adoración, un lugar donde compartimos a Jesús con los que están en nuestro hogar, ya sea nuestra mamá y papá, nuestros hijos, tal vez a nuestros abuelos también que vivan con nosotros.
A medida que hacemos de nuestros hogares el primer santuario y la mesa del comedor el primer altar donde nos ofrecemos a nosotros mismos y la comida que tenemos ante nosotros. ¡La mesa de la cena es también el lugar donde enseñamos a los niños y a los que invitamos a partir el pan con nosotros acerca de Jesús! No solo proporcionar alimento físico sino alimento espiritual. El Evangelio de la forma más sencilla se está extendiendo a aquellas vidas que rodean nuestra mesa. El ministerio no es un título o algo que poseemos, sino un privilegio que se nos ha dado para ministrar la palabra de Dios en las vidas de aquellos a quienes amamos. Como puede ver, no vamos a la iglesia y traemos una ofrenda al altar y tenemos un ministerio, somos la iglesia, damos ofrendas a Dios todos los días y ministramos a todos aquellos con los que entramos en contacto durante la semana. Entonces, cuando venimos a la casa de Dios, no es "Hoy fui a la iglesia", sino que el cuerpo de Cristo se ha reunido para ofrecer nuestras alabanzas como uno solo. Al unirnos con el cuerpo de Cristo, estamos en obediencia al Señor Dios, quien es la cabeza de nuestra familia en el hogar.
Hermanos y hermanas, haced de vuestra casa un lugar de culto, que el Señor sea bienvenido, que sea invitado a partir el pan con vosotros y que se ofrezca a la vida de todos los que os rodean. Eres amado.
