Lord, Give Me A Clean Heart

The bible exposes the heart of God, the heart of man and the heart of the enemy.

Nothing New under the sun 🌞.... God was not merely talking about styles, music or ordinary things.... He was talking about sin and creation. The wind, the rain, the trees and animals will always do what they were created to do, they will not change regardless of the times. They will operate in the same way they always have. The enemy and his evil schemes have been around since the beginning of time and his ways, tactics, lies and deceit have not changed. Evil has been crafted in the hearts of humans for generations. Since evil roams this earth, God urges us to guard our heart, for everything that we do flows from it, determining the course of our lives.

Human hearts are deceitful, the word says we are led astray by our own evil desires (Jeremiah 17:9; James 1:14). Since the garden of Eden, humans have been living in their flesh, doing whatever comes to mind without really thinking of its effects. The world nowadays encourages us, saying things like: “Oh if you just follow your heart, you will never go wrong”. News Flash --> if you have heeded that advice, you just went wrong! As stated above the heart is “wicked and deceitful”. God took the time to give us His word. To lay out His statues for us, so that we can follow them. We who have chosen to believe in Christ and follow Him, are called to walk in His ways, not our own. We are called to know the heart of God and not follow our own. The Lord wants to cleanse, heal, and renew our hearts through His word and His love for us.

Scripture says: out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45). Jesus is the heart/word of God. In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word is God (John 1:1). God promised a long time ago to make His Word flesh and that it will walk amongst us, and He did just that! Jesus, the savior of the world not only came into the world to live out the gospel but to also live in our hearts so that we too can live out the gospel. As we begin to draw near to God, studying His word, the Holy Spirit will begin to expose our heart and thoughts to us, showing us what we need to surrender to the Lord. The enemy wants to speak into our thoughts telling us that this cleansing, renewal and new way of living is not possible. He tries to remind us of all our past sins and mistakes. But God wants to tell you and remind you, that His word has cleansed you (John 15:3). Our obedience to the heart of God keeps us in right standing with Him.

Brothers and Sisters, God laid His heart on the cross that day on Calvary. He has already demonstrated how much He loves us and continues to demonstrate that love through the grace that He gives us each day. God has gone as far as to expose every rotten thought of the enemy, every evil plan he has and listed Satan’s characteristics one by one so that we can discern when he is a work in our lives. But the same is true about Jesus. All His characteristics, personality traits, ways are written in the word so that when the enemy tries to make us doubt, ultimately deceiving us, we will only follow the voice of our heavenly Father. He wants us to truly know Him and grow in an intimate relationship with Him, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Read the heart of God, let His word expose your heart, be it hurt, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, doesn’t matter what it is. Place your heart in His hands and let Him give you a clean heart. You are loved.

Señor, Dame Un Corazón Limpio

La Biblia expone el corazón de Dios, el corazón del hombre y el corazón del enemigo.

Nada nuevo bajo el sol 🌞... Dios no se refería solo a estilos, música o cosas comunes... Se refería al pecado y la creación. El viento, la lluvia, los árboles y los animales siempre harán aquello para lo que fueron creados; no cambiarán, independientemente de los tiempos. Actuarán de la misma manera que siempre lo han hecho. El enemigo y sus malvadas maquinaciones han existido desde el principio de los tiempos, y sus maneras, tácticas, mentiras y engaños no han cambiado. El mal se ha forjado en el corazón de los humanos durante generaciones. Dado que el mal vaga por esta tierra, Dios nos insta a cuidar nuestro corazón, pues todo lo que hacemos fluye de él y determina el curso de nuestras vidas.

Los corazones humanos son engañosos; la palabra dice que nos dejamos llevar por nuestros propios malos deseos (Jeremías 17:9; Santiago 1:14). Desde el jardín del Edén, los humanos han vivido en la carne, haciendo lo que les viene a la mente sin pensar realmente en sus consecuencias. El mundo actual nos anima diciendo cosas como: "Si sigues tu corazón, nunca te equivocarás". Noticia de última hora: si has seguido ese consejo, ¡te equivocaste! Como se mencionó anteriormente, el corazón es "malo y engañoso". Dios se tomó el tiempo para darnos su palabra, para establecer sus estatutos para que podamos seguirlos. Quienes hemos elegido creer en Cristo y seguirlo, estamos llamados a andar en sus caminos, no en los nuestros. Estamos llamados a conocer el corazón de Dios y no seguir el nuestro. El Señor quiere purificar, sanar y renovar nuestros corazones a través de su palabra y su amor por nosotros.

La Escritura dice: de la abundancia del corazón habla la boca (Lucas 6:45). Jesús es el corazón/la palabra de Dios. En el principio era el Verbo, el Verbo estaba con Dios, y el Verbo es Dios (Juan 1:1). Dios prometió hace mucho tiempo que su Palabra se encarnaría y que caminaría entre nosotros, ¡ Y eso fue precisamente lo que hizo! Jesús, el Salvador del mundo, no solo vino al mundo para vivir el evangelio, sino también para vivir en nuestros corazones para que nosotros también podamos vivirlo. Al acercarnos a Dios y estudiar su palabra, el Espíritu Santo comenzará a exponer nuestro corazón y nuestros pensamientos, mostrándonos lo que debemos entregar al Señor. El enemigo quiere hablarnos a nuestros pensamientos, diciéndonos que esta limpieza, renovación y nueva forma de vida no es posible. Intenta recordarnos todos nuestros pecados y errores del pasado. Pero Dios quiere decirte y recordarte que su palabra te ha limpiado (Juan 15:3). Nuestra obediencia al corazón de Dios nos mantiene en una posición correcta ante él.

Hermanos y hermanas, Dios puso su corazón en la cruz ese día en el Calvario. Él ya ha demostrado cuánto nos ama y continúa demostrando ese amor a través de la gracia que nos da cada día. Dios ha llegado al extremo de exponer cada pensamiento corrupto del enemigo, cada plan malvado que tiene, y ha enumerado las características de Satanás una por una para que podamos discernir cuándo está obrando en nuestras vidas. Pero lo mismo ocurre con Jesús. Todas sus características, rasgos de personalidad y caminos están escritos en la palabra, para que cuando el enemigo intente hacernos dudar, engañándonos en última instancia, solo sigamos la voz de nuestro Padre celestial. Él quiere que lo conozcamos verdaderamente y crezcamos en una relación íntima con Él, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo. Lee el corazón de Dios, deja que su palabra exponga tu corazón, ya sea dolor, ira, amargura, falta de perdón, sea lo que sea. Pon tu corazón en sus manos y deja que te dé un corazón limpio. Eres amado.
