Have you ever planned a special event before? So much preparation goes into planning, from the theme, color scheme, venue, food menu, décor, guest list, etc. Every detail has been thought out thoroughly. Preparing for this special event, you begin to imagine yourself there, what it would feel and look like to enter into this beautiful place. To taste the exquisit food that keeps you wanting more. The music that transports you to another time and place within your mind. We put ourselves in the shoes of our guest and we want them to have an unforgettable experience. A moment in time that can never be replaced and always brings a smile to their face. We want it to be just perfect!
But.... setting the atmosphere is not about the right music, lighting, colors or your mood. It is about silencing your mind, posturing your heart toward God and being sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Yes, try and find a quiet place with no distractions if you can. Dim the lights if you like. Play soft worship music in the backround if that is what you desire. Put your phone on silent or leave it outside the room. But if all you have is a bathroom stall at work, your car on the way to the grocery store, or you are in the car line to pick up your child from school. Maybe your walking home from school or on the subway to downtown, create a space in your heart, mind and soul where Christ feels welcomed and can whisper a special message to you. That is the kind of experience and moments our Lord God wants to have with us. It doesn't need to be perfect but sincere and authentic. He wants to hear from a place of humility, truth, vulnerability, not the esthetics of a physical place.
God wants to dwell within us,
He wants to be made alive within us,
He wants to be welcomed within us,
He wants to be glorified within us
He wants to create an atmosphere within us where His peace, joy and love are constant.
Brothers and Sisters, God is here! He is knocking! He wants to come in, will you welcome Him? We set the tone, we can either allow toxins or peace to come in. There are a lot of distractions fighting for our attention, making it difficult to hear God clearly. Not just on the things that are happening but those things we are also waiting for Him to do or give us in life. We need to intentionally prepare a place for God daily to dwell peacefully in us. Don't make the mistake of Saul and Samson, they got so caught up in doing things for God, or the Christian routine/culture; that the Spirit of God had left and they didn't even know it. It is when the atmosphere has been prepared for our Father to come in that we actually find ourselves in His presence; connected to the vine. It is then He can whisper into our hearts a message so special that it was designed especially for us. So today, in our minds, our hearts and our souls let us create an atmosphere for God to come and whisper His love, wisdom and direction into our lives. You are loved.
Establecer La Atmósfera

¿Alguna vez has planeado un evento especial antes? Se necesita mucha preparación para la planificación, desde el tema, la combinación de colores, el lugar, el menú de comida, la decoración, la lista de invitados, etc. Cada detalle ha sido pensado minuciosamente. Al prepararse para este evento especial, comienza a imaginarse allí, cómo se sentiría y se vería al entrar en este hermoso lugar. Para degustar la comida exquisita que te mantiene con ganas de más. La música que te transporta a otro tiempo y lugar dentro de tu mente. Nos ponemos en el lugar de nuestro huésped y queremos que viva una experiencia inolvidable. Un momento en el tiempo que nunca podrá ser reemplazado y que siempre les hace sonreír. ¡Queremos que sea simplemente perfecto!
Pero... crear la atmósfera no se trata de la música, la iluminación, los colores o el estado de ánimo adecuados. Se trata de silenciar tu mente, posicionar tu corazón hacia Dios y ser sensible al Espíritu Santo. Sí, intenta encontrar un lugar tranquilo y sin distracciones si puedes. Atenúa las luces si quieres. Ponga música suave de adoración de fondo si eso es lo que desea. Pon tu teléfono en silencio o déjalo fuera de la habitación. Pero si todo lo que tiene es un baño en el trabajo, su automóvil camino al supermercado o está en la fila para recoger a su hijo de la escuela. Tal vez caminando a casa desde la escuela o en el metro hacia el centro, cree un espacio en su corazón, mente y alma donde Cristo se sienta bienvenido y pueda susurrarle un mensaje especial. Ese es el tipo de experiencia y momentos que nuestro Señor Dios quiere tener con nosotros. No es necesario que sea perfecto sino sincero y auténtico. Quiere llegar aquí desde un lugar de humildad, verdad y vulnerabilidad, no desde la estética de un lugar físico.
Dios quiere habitar en nosotros,
Él quiere vivificarse en nosotros,
Él quiere ser acogido dentro de nosotros,
Él quiere ser glorificado dentro de nosotros.
Él quiere crear una atmósfera dentro de nosotros donde Su paz, alegría y amor sean constantes.
Hermanos y hermanas, ¡Dios está aquí! ¡Él está llamando! Él quiere entrar, ¿le darás la bienvenida? Nosotros marcamos el tono, podemos permitir que entren las toxinas o la paz. Hay muchas distracciones que luchan por nuestra atención, lo que dificulta escuchar a Dios con claridad. No sólo en las cosas que están sucediendo sino en aquellas cosas que también estamos esperando que Él haga o nos dé en la vida. Necesitamos preparar intencionalmente un lugar para que Dios habite diariamente en paz en nosotros. No cometa el error de Saúl y Sansón, quedaron tan atrapados en hacer cosas para Dios o la rutina/cultura cristiana; que el espíritu de Dios se había ido y ni siquiera lo sabían. Es cuando la atmósfera ha sido preparada para la entrada de nuestro Padre que realmente nos encontramos en Su presencia; conectado a la vid. Es entonces cuando Él puede susurrar en nuestros corazones un mensaje tan especial que fue diseñado especialmente para nosotros. Entonces hoy, en nuestra mente, nuestro corazón y nuestra alma, creemos una atmósfera para que Dios venga y susurre Su amor, sabiduría y dirección en nuestras vidas. Eres amado.
