Roll The Stone Away

 ¹³ You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. ¹⁴ He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. ¹⁵ In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

Before we came to Christ, we were dead inside, our souls were already condemned to death and hell. A place that God created for the devil and his angels, not for us (Matt. 25:41). You may be thinking: “how can one be dead if they are breathing, walking and talking just like everyone else?” Doesn’t death mean a funeral, casket and burial? That is how earthly deaths look but God in this passage is talking about our spiritual lives. There are so many who are living lives apart from God, those are the ones who are dead in spirit, even if on the outside everything else seems normal. But… God did something, something that would change history and our lives for the rest of our lives if we let it. He chose to take every sin that belonged to us and place it on Jesus’ shoulders. He chose to pay the price for each of those sins, being whipped, spit on, stabbed, He had thorns dug into His head, His beard ripped out, He was stripped naked and publicly humiliated for everyone to see. He died that day not just a physical death but a spiritual death as well, breaking the chains that have us bound and the soul ties that keep us attached. He was without sin or blemish, able to take on our sins as the ultimate sacrifice, but in those 3 days He didn’t just conquer the grave, He also conquered every demonic spirit that comes to kill, steal and destroy.

He is our creator; we are created by His hands. Our bodies bare his marking even if some of us do not bare His name. The Word of God written on our hearts is like Jesus in the tomb. When we accept Christ into our hearts it is like the stone being rolled away because the Word has been made alive in us. When we come to God and repent, immediately He is at work forgiving, cleansing and purifying us from all unrighteousness. The mere act of repentance and acknowledging of our sins, is the hand of God working through us. You may still hear the enemy telling you that you do not deserve forgiveness or that you have committed this sin one too many times but press into the Holy Spirit… resisting the enemy and taking back your authority over him, just like Christ did that day on calvary for us. God did what we couldn’t do, He defeated Satan, in flesh and spirit, but now because of His sacrifice on the cross we can now be loosened physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually through Jesus! I don’t know about you but that deserves a great big Hallelujah!!!

Brothers and Sisters, He has already paid for every past, present and future sins. Do not keep the stone in front of the grave but allow the Word of God to become alive in your life and live the life He has called you to. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords lives! Will you roll the stone away and let Him come alive in you? You are loved.

Aparta La Piedra

¹³ Ustedes estaban muertos a causa de sus pecados y porque aún no les habían quitado la naturaleza pecaminosa. Entonces Dios les dio vida con Cristo al perdonar todos nuestros pecados. ¹⁴ Él anuló el acta con los cargos que había contra nosotros y la eliminó clavándola en la cruz. ¹⁵ De esa manera, desarmó^[b] a los gobernantes y a las autoridades espirituales. Los avergonzó públicamente con su victoria sobre ellos en la cruz.

Antes de venir a Cristo, estábamos muertos por dentro; nuestras almas ya estaban condenadas a muerte y al infierno. Un lugar que Dios creó para el diablo y sus ángeles, no para nosotros (Mateo 25:41). Quizás estés pensando: ¿Cómo puede alguien estar muerto si respira, camina y habla igual que los demás?. ¿Acaso la muerte no implica un funeral, un ataúd y un entierro? Así es como se manifiestan las muertes terrenales, pero en este pasaje Dios está hablando de nuestras vidas espirituales. Hay muchísimas personas que viven apartadas de Dios; esas son las que están muertas en espíritu, aunque por fuera todo lo demás parezca normal. Pero... Dios hizo algo; algo que cambiaría la historia y nuestras vidas para siempre, si se lo permitimos. Él decidió tomar cada pecado que nos pertenecía y ponerlo sobre los hombros de Jesús. Él decidió pagar el precio por cada uno de esos pecados: fue azotado, escupido, traspasado; le clavaron espinas en la cabeza, le arrancaron la barba, fue despojado de sus vestiduras y humillado públicamente a la vista de todos. Ese día murió no solo una muerte física, sino también una muerte espiritual, rompiendo las cadenas que nos atan y los lazos del alma que nos mantienen sujetos. Él estaba libre de pecado y de mancha, capaz de tomar sobre sí nuestros pecados como el sacrificio supremo; pero en esos tres días no solo venció a la tumba, sino que también venció a todo espíritu demoníaco que viene a matar, robar y destruir.

Él es nuestro Creador; hemos sido creados por Sus manos. Nuestros cuerpos llevan Su marca, aunque algunos de nosotros no llevemos Su nombre. La Palabra de Dios, escrita en nuestros corazones, es como Jesús en el sepulcro. Cuando aceptamos a Cristo en nuestros corazones, es como si la piedra fuera removida, pues la Palabra ha cobrado vida en nosotros. Cuando acudimos a Dios y nos arrepentimos, Él se pone inmediatamente a la obra: perdonándonos, limpiándonos y purificándonos de toda iniquidad. El simple acto de arrepentirnos y reconocer nuestros pecados es la mano de Dios obrando a través de nosotros. Tal vez aún escuches al enemigo diciéndote que no mereces el perdón, o que has cometido ese pecado demasiadas veces; pero aférrate al Espíritu Santo... resistiendo al enemigo y retomando tu autoridad sobre él, tal como Cristo lo hizo por nosotros aquel día en el Calvario. Dios hizo lo que nosotros no podíamos hacer: derrotó a Satanás, tanto en la carne como en el espíritu; pero ahora, gracias a Su sacrificio en la cruz, ¡podemos ser liberados física, mental, emocional y espiritualmente por medio de Jesús! No sé tú, pero eso merece un inmenso ¡¡¡Aleluya!!!

Hermanos y Hermanas, Él ya ha pagado por todos los pecados: pasados, presentes y futuros. No mantengan la piedra frente al sepulcro; permitan, más bien, que la Palabra de Dios cobre vida en ustedes y vivan la vida a la que Él los ha llamado. ¡El Rey de reyes y Señor de señores vive! ¿Removerán la piedra y permitirán que Él cobre vida en ustedes? Eres amados.
