Last month we talked about the "SPIRIT of Fear"; and some of the fruit it produces >>-----> anxiety, confusion, doubt, timidness (shyness), discouragement and dismay; procrastination and laziness to name a few. We know the enemy uses these as a means of distraction from God and His truth. We talked about how to cast out fear but today I want to talk about "Enlarging Your Territory". Pushing back those border lines so that the enemy cannot cross over into your land/ your space. Fear enters our thoughts so subtlety, at times we don't even recognize it's presence. But when that thought is left unchecked, with time it begins to grow and attach itself. At an unknown moment that thought that has grown is triggered and in an instant it grips you with fear. You feel it throughout your whole body, as if your body was no longer your own but being pulled by someone or something else. Well, it is! The enemy comes along, planting seeds in our minds and if we do not cast those thoughts out of our mind they will begin to attach themselves to our lives. The Devil comes along like a roaring lion, seeking whom he can devour and destroy, that is his goal.
4 We do not use those things to fight with that the world uses. We use the things God gives to fight with and they have power. Those things God gives to fight with destroy the strong-places of the devil. 5 We break down every thought and proud thing that puts itself up against the wisdom of God. We take hold of every thought and make it obey Christ.- 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NLV)
This is why we need not only command the enemy to detach by casting him out but we need to enlarge our territory so that the distance from you and him is great. In the verse below we see the instruction of the Lord, He tells us not to hold back but to enlarge the place of our tent. In our lives and homes there should be peace. Now this does not mean the absence of pain or suffering but in the midst of it we can still have peace.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.- Isaiah 54:2 (NIV)
We push back our boundary lines for the enemy by...
- filling our hearts and minds with God's word.
- praying and fasting.
- walking boldly in our faith.
- practicing truth (applying God's word to our lives).
- allowing God's word to wash over us and cleanse us through our repentance.
- believing every word written in scripture for our instruction.
- resisting every sign of the enemy trying to cross that line.
- casting thoughts down to the obedience of Christ if they do not line up with His word.
And if we fall or entertain fear again or any of its fruit, we can always get back up, dust ourselves off and begin to walk in God's truth immediately. Throughout our lives the enemy will always try to attack us with these things and many more but do not grow weary in the fight. Remember we fight in Victory not to Victory. God has already won the war against the enemy on our behalf.
Brothers and sisters we are pushing back those barriers. The border lines are widening. We are enlarging our territory with each act of faith. Every time we apply these truths and obey God's word, there is something happening in the Spiritual Realm. Darkness is being pushed back further and further. Allowing our trust in God and what He says to grow, allowing our Faith to grow and move mountains. Be set free from the snares of the enemy, enlarge your territory and see the enemy run! You are loved.
Amplíe Su Territorio
El mes pasado hablamos sobre el "ESPÍRITU del Miedo"; y algunos de los frutos que produce >>-----> ansiedad, confusión, duda, timidez, desánimo y consternación; procrastinación y pereza, por nombrar algunos. Sabemos que el enemigo los usa como un medio para distraerse de Dios y Su verdad. Hablamos de cómo expulsar el miedo pero hoy quiero hablar de "Ampliar Tu Territorio". Hacer retroceder esas líneas fronterizas para que el enemigo no pueda cruzar a tu tierra/tu espacio. El miedo entra en nuestros pensamientos de forma tan sutil que a veces ni siquiera reconocemos su presencia. Pero cuando ese pensamiento no se controla, con el tiempo comienza a crecer y adherirse. En un momento desconocido se desencadena ese pensamiento que ha crecido y en un instante te invade el miedo. Lo sientes en todo tu cuerpo, como si tu cuerpo ya no fuera tuyo sino que alguien o algo más lo tirara. ¡Bueno, lo es! El enemigo llega, planta semillas en nuestra mente y si no expulsamos esos pensamientos de nuestra mente, comenzarán a adherirse a nuestras vidas. El Diablo viene como león rugiente, buscando a quién devorar y destruir, esa es su meta.
4 porque las armas de nuestra milicia no son carnales, sino poderosas en Dios para la destrucción de fortalezas, 5 derribando argumentos y toda altivez que se levanta contra el conocimiento de Dios, y llevando cautivo todo pensamiento a la obediencia a Cristo.- 2 Corintios 10:4-5 (RVR-1960)
Es por eso que no sólo necesitamos ordenar al enemigo que se separe expulsándolo, sino que debemos ampliar nuestro territorio para que la distancia entre usted y él sea grande. En el versículo siguiente vemos la instrucción del Señor, Él nos dice que no nos retengamos sino que ensanchemos el lugar de nuestra tienda. En nuestras vidas y hogares debe haber paz. Ahora bien, esto no significa la ausencia de dolor o sufrimiento, pero en medio de ello todavía podemos tener paz.
2 Ensancha el sitio de tu tienda, y las cortinas de tus habitaciones sean extendidas; no seas escasa; alarga tus cuerdas, y refuerza tus estacas.- Isaías 54:2 (RVR-1960)
Hacemos retroceder nuestras líneas fronterizas para el enemigo...
- llenando nuestros corazones y mentes con la palabra de Dios.
- orando y ayunando.
- caminando valientemente en nuestra fe.
- practicar la verdad (aplicar la palabra de Dios a nuestras vidas).
- permitir que la palabra de Dios nos bañe y nos limpie a través de nuestro arrepentimiento.
-creer cada palabra escrita en las Escrituras para nuestra instrucción.
- resistir cada señal del enemigo que intenta cruzar esa línea.
- rebajar los pensamientos a la obediencia de Cristo si no se alinean con Su palabra.
Y si volvemos a caer o entretener miedo o alguno de sus frutos, siempre podemos volver a levantarnos, quitarnos el polvo y comenzar a caminar en la verdad de Dios de inmediato. A lo largo de nuestra vida el enemigo siempre intentará atacarnos con estas cosas y muchas más pero no nos cansemos en la lucha. Recuerde que luchamos en la Victoria, no para la Victoria. Dios ya ganó la guerra contra el enemigo a nuestro favor.
Hermanos y hermanas, estamos derribando esas barreras. Las líneas fronterizas se están ampliando. Estamos ampliando nuestro territorio con cada acto de fe. Cada vez que aplicamos estas verdades y obedecemos la palabra de Dios, algo sucede en el Reino Espiritual. La oscuridad está retrocediendo cada vez más. Permitir que nuestra confianza en Dios y lo que Él dice crezca, permitir que nuestra Fe crezca y mueva montañas. ¡Libérate de las trampas del enemigo, amplía tu territorio y observa cómo huye el enemigo! Eres amado.
